If you missed Graham’s blog entry back in June you might not be aware that our very own Life Member Tony Redford has been added to the L&CPU’s Roll of Honour! The link below will take you directly to the announcement on their website.

He has been added to this prestigious list in recognition of his 30 years service not only to our club but to the wider L&CPU club circuit with his many lectures.

He was elected to the Roll of Honour at the L&CPU’s exhibition in Manchester Cathedral by the current President Ed Roper.

Always in the thick of the action he was a major organiser of not only our 50th and 60th anniversary celebrations but also a founder organiser of our two inter-club competitions held in the Exhibition week called the North Cheshire Challenges.

He is still closely involved and has played a big part in them becoming rightly hailed as major events in the Competition year, attracting entries from far afield, and setting the standard for professionalism to which many other clubs aspire.

This is my second year on the committee and I have been impressed by his enthusiasm and enjoyment of club life, every aspect tinged with his characteristic humour.

So I would like to take this opportunity to salute the valuable contribution that Tony has made to the club and hope he can hold on for the next 30!

Well done Tony you deserve the accolade.

The 2013 Inter-Club Judges

We can now advise that the judges for our 2013 Inter-club Competitions (The North Cheshire Challenges) have confirmed their availability. They have also bravely expressed their enthusiasm for taking on the challenge of assessing an anticipated large entry of winning images, reliably submitted by the leading clubs from our area and beyond. (We will be making initial contact with clubs by e-mail early in September as usual).

Judging the Print Competition (for the Alan Adshead Memorial Trophy)

We are delighted to welcome back these two very experienced judges, both of whom have impressed us all in the past with their precise assessments and timing in handling major events. Their contrasting styles of delivery are sure to provide the informative and entertaining occasions that we have come to expect from these competitive but very friendly evenings.
